A view that never gets old
Grand Canal Panorama captures one of the most iconic aerial views in Venice, painted from the vantage point of the Campanile Tower Observatory in Piazza San Marco. From this elevated perspective, the viewer gazes down upon the glittering expanse of the Grand Canal, flanked by historic landmarks and punctuated by boats gliding through deep turquoise waters.
At the heart of the composition stands the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, bathed in luminous light, its domes commanding attention above the warm terracotta rooftops of Dorsoduro. The artist has thoughtfully added delicate, almost abstract shapes at the base of the church’s grand staircase—figures that suggest people and crowds gathering in the plaza. These subtle inclusions serve not only to animate the scene but also to establish scale, heightening the monumental presence of the basilica and surrounding architecture.
The classical geometry of Punta della Dogana, the former customs house, leads the eye outward toward the shimmering waters of the lagoon and the distant silhouette of Giudecca Island. Water taxis, gondolas, and vaporettos dart across the canal in confident strokes, their movement breathing life into the serene setting.
Balancing expressive brushwork with architectural clarity, this panoramic watercolor invites the viewer to experience Venice from a rare, expansive angle — one that honors both the city’s grandeur and its ceaseless human rhythm. It is a moment suspended between sky and sea, celebrating the scale, light, and vitality that make Venice eternally captivating.

Art prints FAQs
Do the art prints come with a mat? How do you ship them?
Each print comes with a mat and a backing board and is ready to frame. For protection during transportation, the matted prints are wrapped in a clear plastic sleeve and then put into a rigid, protective envelope.
How do I find the proper frame and mat size for your prints?
Please refer to the “Overall dimension (including mat)” in the product description for the proper frame size. For example, if it says “Overall size (including mat) is 14” x 11” (35.56cm x 27.94cm)”, then the print will fit a 14”x11” picture frame perfectly.
If you would like to change the mat, you can easily do so by detaching the print from the mat (I used artist tape and it’s non-permanent). Please make sure the alternative mat you are using matches the dimension of the “Mat opening” specified in the product description. For example, if it says “Mat opening/Area of the artwork is 10” x 7” (25.4cm x 17.78cm)” then it will fit a mat with an opening of 10” x 7” perfectly.
Will the art print contain the trademark that says “Ina Xi all rights reserved”?
No. The trademark is for previewing the artwork through my Web store only.
