Nob Hill overlooking Market Street
Nob Hill overlooking Market Street
San Francisco is known for its fog, architectures, steep hills and cable cars. California Street is the less famous cable car route than Powell Street. But to me, a long-term resident, possess more beauty and charm. As you stand atop Nob Hill and look down towards Market Street, you can see a tapestry of different architecture styles, from Art Deco highrises, the Telephone Temple building in Chinatown, to the PG&E Building and even the Bay Bridge in the distance. What inspired me to paint this scene is the afternoon sun peeking through a thin layer of fog, creating a soft glow on the buildings.
