Greeneries in Watercolor - Deep-Dive Workshop - Part 2

On November 13, I will be hosting a deep dive workshop on painting greeneries in through the Patreon class program. This is the second class of the 2-part greenery workshops and this class focuses on understanding different roles greeneries can play in your painting and different visual treatments to tackle them.

What's valuable about the course?

Many beginner painters' challenge often is not related to the techniques of painting a singular tree, rather, the lack of methodology of tackling greeneries as a whole, so that their painting has clear focal points, confident brush marks and a dynamic composition.

In order to develop your methodology, you need to understand different methods of depicting trees more abstractly and seeing opportunities for utilizing textures. This is what this class teaches – how to set the goal and the vision for your painting, then utilize a variety of visual treatment to increase and decrease visual emphasis for greenery subjects. 

What's covered in this course that the YouTube video didn't include?

1. In-depth guidelines for choosing the right visual treatment for different scenarios
2. In-depth techniques for edge control, esp. handling situations where sharp edges and soft edges co-exist in a painting
3. Real-time painting demonstration where I will use student submitted photos to solve real-life problems, so the learning is tangible and actionable for you
4. You can join live, or ask questions that will be addressed as we go

How does the ticketing system work?

Upon purchasing the ticket you will receive a confirmation email with a private link to join the event. The live streaming starts at 9am PST on Thursday, Oct 2. But the link will continue to work after the event has ended so you can revisit the class whenever and however many times later.
