This original painting depicts the peaceful moment right before the sunrise at the Port Orchard waterfront - the artist's hometown in Washington. The expansive Bremerton Shipyard across from the Bay is still sound asleep, as the first flow of sunlight creeps onto the Olympic Mountain Range behind. A band of mist lingers in the evergreen forest, in stark contrast with the geometric shapes of the shipyard cranes.
This painting is based on a reference photo by Charles Senn Photography. See more of Chuck's beautiful work here.
Medium: Watercolor on 100% cotton paper
