Dolores Park on a sunny day
Dolores Park on a sunny day
This painting aims to capture the feeling of those lazy afternoons hanging out with friends at many San Francisco parks. Amongst them, Dolores park is certainly the most popular and famous, thanks to its beautiful view of the Mission High School, downtown skyline and the joy of people watching.

Unique signatures
All original artworks come with a unique signature on the back with an abstract illustration drawn by the artist.
Why the 1/2" white border
Original artworks have a 1/2" (1.3cm) white border on all sides due to the artwork being taped to the painting surface when the paper was wet, in order to prevent warping. Some original art has deckered edges due to paper being hand-torn in preparation for painting
Collector FAQs
How do you ship the original artwork?
All original pieces are shipped without matting or framing. Paintings that are 9”x12” or smaller will be shipped in a rigid envelope. Paintings that are 10” x14” or larger will be shipped in a mailing tube. For protection, the artwork will be wrapped in a clear plastic sleeve and a layer of bubble wrap before they get put into the shipping package.
How do you recommend framing the original artwork?
My favorite method of framing original watercolor art is using a floating picture frame. With a floating frame, the artwork is held in place between two pieces of glass, as if suspended in the air, and stands out more against its background. Plus, you will be able to see my signature sketch on the back of the painting more easily (not that you will do this often).
My second favorite way of framing the original artwork is using a traditional picture, but instead of putting a mat with an opening on top of the artwork, use a solid mat board for backing, and tape the artwork on it using artist tape or other non-permanent tapes. This will result in the effect of the artwork suspending on top of the background.
And lastly, there is nothing wrong with using a mat board to frame the artwork and put everything in a traditional picture frame. But I do find this method not the most accessible for DIYers out there, due to the sizes of the watercolor paper not readily matching available mat sizes in the market (in the United States anyway).

How do I know I have purchased the original painting and it’s authentic?
All original pieces come with certification of authenticity signed by me in ink. You will also notice that I do not sign original pieces at the front of the artwork, rather, at the back with an iconic sketch incorporated into my signature. All art prints however, come with my original signature in the front.
I don’t see your signature on the artwork. Do you sign your work?
My signature for all the original artwork is on the back of the piece, with an abstracted sketch connected to it. For art prints, I individually sign them at the front of the print. One can easily tell apart an original artwork from the reproduction based on the signature.
